Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. John Brajkovich
Caledon Mountain veterinary hospital was founded by Dr John Brajkovich in 2002. Dr John has focused and refined his surgical skills after years of training in small animal surgery. He is a member of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and has completed a MANZCVS in small animal surgery. He is actively involved in the Greyhound initiative, he lectures small animal orthopedics and has been a course instructor in orthopedic surgery. Dr John continues to remain in the forefront of surgical procedures in small animal orthopedic surgery and applies new techniques to provide the best options for his patients.
He is currently undertaking a study investigating the use of regenerative medicine (platelet rich plasma) and its application and effects in postoperative function after Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO) surgery.

Dr. Rebecca Ritchie
Dr. Rebecca graduated from McGill University in 1990 with a BSc in Ecology. Work in the field led her to continue her studies at The Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, where she graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Rebecca has focused on small animal medicine for many years in central BC, and now at CMVH. Outside of work, Rebecca keeps busy with 3 kids, a cat, a dog, and a few frogs! When time permits, she tries to get out running or participate in other outdoor activities with her family.
Dr. Meredith Geldart
Dr. Meredith graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2007 and that same year started working at CMVH. Her veterinary interests include ophthamology, soft tissue surgery and radiology. Dr. Meredith's future goals include furthering education in chronic disease and pain management in geriatric patients as well as learning more about emergency medicine. Her free time is spent running with other members of the CMVH team, playing various sports including soccer and volleyball, and of course, playing tug with her Rottie, Mackenzie!
Dr. Sherry Ekstrom
Dr. Sherry has been working as a full time veterinarian at CMVH since May 2010. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2005 with a BMSc in Physiology and then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2010. While she enjoys all aspects of working with her furry patients, she finds the areas of dermatology and dentistry particularly interesting. In her free time, Dr.Sherry enjoys running (often with other staff members from CMVH!), reading, travelling and spending time with her husband, Brad. She has two wonderful rescue pets, a sheltie and a cat.
Dr. Sherry is currently on Maternity Leave until November 2017
Dr. Carol Hung
Dr. Carol obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2015. She started her career in London (Ontario), and has cultivated strong interests in dentistry and internal medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Carol enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and traveling. She can't wait to meet all of you and your furry companions!
Fun fact: Dr. Carol is allergic to cats and dogs.

Dr. Rob Hillerby
Dr. Rob is new to the team at CMVH and excited about his move.
After a 7-year career as a horse trainer and actor at Medieval Times in Toronto, Dr Rob completed his BSc at the University of Toronto and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Guelph, returning to his original love - veterinary medicine.
Dr Rob has spent the last 8 years at a mixed animal practice seeing a range of patients including cats, dogs, horses, cows and the occasional alpaca. Although he enjoys all aspects veterinary medicine, his special interests include dentistry and ultrasonography. Dr. Rob lives on a hobby farm near Drayton with three cats, three miniature horses, 11 chickens, his dog (Cajun), his wife, Emma (who is also a practicing veterinarian) and their son, Miles.
Dr. Rob will be covering Dr. Meredith's maternity leave starting in December 2016.
