In an effort to improve access to after hours care for our patients, we have teamed up with a Canadian veterinarian-led company named Smart.Vet. Smart.Vet gives you access to Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT’s) over the phone whenever our hospital is not open to take your call. These RVT’s can speak with you to determine the level of care that your pet requires, and can then facilitate scheduling a virtual appointment with one of their licensed Ontario-based veterinarians. Alternatively, if your pet requires critical in-person intervention, the RVT will be able to assist you by making arrangements for your pet to be transferred to an emergency facility for physical care.

There is no charge for this call or any assistance provided by the RVT’s. If you are booked for a consultation with a virtual veterinarian, there will be a charge for the consultation, with an additional service fee if medication is prescribed.
Please note: The Smart.Vet RVT Line and Veterinarians are not staffed by Caledon Mountain Veterinary Hospital employee’s and they will not have access to your pets medical records.
